With over 15 years experience, Gigi's career in the entertainment industry includes a wide range of talents from marketing and publicity for the major and independent labels, to writing short films for PBS to producing a weekly television program currently running in syndication, as well as directing and producing award winning music videos.
Working in the strategic music cities - New York, Nashville and Austin - she has garnered numerous awards and recognition for her work producing and marketing artists worldwide. Her Nashville commercial credits include Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, and Reba McEntire. There, she also produced and directed a number of music videos.
Moving from Nashville to Austin she became an early pioneer in the Latin Music Market, producing and directing high quality music videos and successfully marketing Latin artists to the mainstream listening audience. Her Latin marketing work includes artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Gian Marco, Rabanes, Jon Secada and others. She produced and directed a Vallejo music video which was featured at the Latin Film and Digital Media Festival at U.S.C. as well as the Cinesol Latin Film Festival in San Antonio.
She created and coined the term DPK (Digital Press Kit), bringing the traditional EPK into the Digital Age and has had a successful relationship with various clients including Sony/Epic, Crescent Moon Records, Sony Latin, Or Music and Batanga.com. Other clients include Universal Records, V2 Records, Emilio Estefan Enterprises, Koch Records, Launch.com, and CMT (Country Music Television).
Gigi is co-creator and is co-executive producer of All Access Live, a weekly syndicated Concert series which features today's hottest stars and airs on various networks such as WB, Fox, CBS, and UPN.
Gigi is currently a voting member of NARAS (the Grammy organization) as well as a voting member of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Who's Who of Women in Business, the National Association of Professional Television Executives and the Austin Music Foundation. She has been featured in a number of industry magazines, including Austin American Statesman XLent, in which she appeared on the cover.
